SBI Clerk Selection Process – State Bank of India (SBI)’s Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in Clerical Cadre exam selection process standards are decided by the Examination Board of the State Bank of India. Candidates need to crack some stages as projected by SBI. In this article we have described the SBI Clerk selection process 2021 in detail to help you understand each phase smoothly.

The recruitment notification for the SBI Clerk 2021 exam is released now. Thus, every candidate who want to apply for this vacancy is requested to crack each and every stage that consists in the SBI Clerk selection procedure in order to get a job post successfully.

Selection Procedure: The examination will consist of three phases, viz.

SBI Clerk Selection Process: Phase I (Prelims)

SBI Clerk Prelims is the first phase of the SBI Clerk Recruitment. Exam date for the SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Dare is not yet announced. SBI usually conducts The Main Exam after one month of Preliminary exam. SBI Clerk Prelims Exam is an online computer based objective test of 100 marks. Candidates gets 60 minutes to complete this test.

Total of 100 questions will be asked in SBI Prelims exam. There are no changes in the exam pattern of SBI Clerk Prelims Exam 2021, which are listed as follows –

You will get fix time period for every section in SBI Clerk Prelims Exam. In the exam, there will be three sections i.e., Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, and English Language. Each section will have a separate timing of 20 Minutes.

Sectional cut-off is not applicable in Prelims Exam. In SBI Clerk Prelims 2021, there are no minimum qualifying marks i.e., cut-off for any section. 

SBI Clerk Selection Process: Phase II (Mains)

SBI Clerk Mains is the Most important stage of SBI Clerk Recruitment 2021. Main Examination is also a computer based online exam. This exam consists 190 Questions of 200 marks and candidates will get 2 Hours 40 Minutes to complete this exam.

The candidates will be selected for the SBI Clerk Post on the basis of marks scored in Mains Examination as there is no further interview procedure. Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by candidates in SBI Clerk Mains. The provisional selection of a candidate will be done on the basis of a candidate’s performance in the Mains Examination.

In Mains Examination also, there are no minimum qualifying marks (Sectional Cut-off) for each of the sections. The candidate has to clear the overall cut-off for the SBI Clerk Mains Exam. The candidates are required to score minimum percentage marks on aggregate. Candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS Categories will get 5% relaxation on overall aggregate marks will be given..

Note:

A) The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English &Hindi.

B) There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

SBI Clerk Selection Process: Phase-III (Test of specified opted local language)

Those who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected to any Language test. In case of other successful candidates who do not have such a certificate, a specified local language test will be conducted. SBI conducts this test after provisional selection but before the joining process. Candidates who are not good enough in specified opted local language would be disqualified and would not be eligible for any further process.

SBI Clerk Final Selection will be based on these following points

1. The Marks scored by the candidate in SBI Clerk Mains Examination.

2.  Verification of eligibility for the post and cross check of information provided by the candidate in the online application.

3.  Qualifying in test of specified opted local language, where applicable, as detailed above
